“Live in a movie with me, just for a little while. pretend like the real world doesn’t exist, and like we can have anything we want,” I said.

So he did pretend, for a long time, and somewhere in the middle, I forgot.

I forgot that we were pretending, and everything became real.

For a moment, for an hour, for a day, for a year everything became real.

But you can’t promise a fantasy and bring it into the world, it will crumble beneath your fingers.
